Saffon Kesar Ruh Attar by Ritva Fragrances is an exceptionally rare and pure natural attar, crafted from the authentic essence of Kashmiri saffron. This exquisite attar is produced using a combination of steam distillation and the traditional hydro-distillation method, known as the Deg–Bhapka process—an art preserved for over 200 years in the perfume capital of India, Kannauj.

Kashmir, often referred to as the Switzerland of India, is the native land of this precious saffron. Although grown in cold climates, saffron is known for its warm nature and deep, radiant aroma. The saffron flowers and leaves are carefully transported from Kashmir to Kannauj, where they undergo a long and meticulous distillation process to extract the pure Ruh.

Nearly one ton of saffron flowers and leaves is required to produce just one litre of pure Ruh, making this attar one of the rarest and most valuable in the world. The process demands time, skill, patience, and precision—only then does the true essence of saffron emerge.
